Peachland and Areas

Beautiful, and peaceful golf Peachland is a quaint, small town nestled on the shore of Okanagan Lake between West Kelowna / West Bank & Summerland with a population of no more that 5000 full time residents. Peachland is a mere 30 mins drive to either Kelowna downtown or Penticton & just 1 hour drive to Vernon.

Grocery shopping is no more than 10 mins away in Westbank. Over the past few years, Westbank has been expanding rapidly. You will be surprise to find all the big box stores on the main road i.e Walmart, Save on Food, Shoppers, Home Depot, Zellers, Wendy's, Tim Horton's and of course all the big banks.


Interesting Facts about Peachland:
The origin of the town's name came in the late 1890's, after visiting a local orchard on the Trepanier delta, J.M. Robinson, founder of Peachland proclaimed "This is absolutely a miracle to have peaches so far north into Canada." And decide his town's name was to be Peachland.

The first estate winery established in the Okanagan Valley was in Peachland.

The first ice-wine was made in North America was made in Peachland.

The first, and one of the few, all-brother, nine-member baseball teams - the Cousins family - was from Peachland. (The baseball park in town is called "Cousins Park")
